Fermented Ancient Shan Tuyet Tea

Fermented ancient Shan Tuyet tea is a masterpiece of the Northwest mountains and forests, created from young tea buds growing on hundreds of years old tea trees, growing at an altitude of over 1,500 meters above sea level. Through the traditional fermentation process, this tea line not only carries a rich, deep flavor, but also contains the quintessence of heaven, earth and time.

1. Origin: From thousand-year-old tea trees

Ancient Shan Tuyet tea is harvested entirely by hand from wild tea trees growing in old forests, in areas such as Ha Giang, Yen Bai, Dien Bien... These tea trees are tall, covered with moss, absorbing fog, cold snow and minerals from the mountains all year round. The tea leaves are thick, the buds are large, covered with a layer of white fur as smooth as snow - hence the name Shan Tuyet.

2. Fermentation process: Combining nature and technology

Fermented tea (also known as brewed tea or fermented black/stick tea) is processed through a biological oxidation process. With Shan Tuyet tea, this process is done naturally or semi-naturally, following the traditional fermentation method of the highlanders:

Natural fermentation: after harvesting, the tea is withered, crushed and left in controlled humidity and temperature conditions for natural microorganisms to ferment.

Semi-natural fermentation (ripening): tea is sprayed with moisture and brewed for a long time (30–60 days), creating a warm earthy aroma, sweet taste, and little astringency.

The fermented tea has a reddish brown to amber color, a deep aroma like forest wood, wild honey, a deep sweet aftertaste and is extremely less irritating to the stomach.

3. Uses and health values

Fermented ancient Shan Tuyet tea brings many health benefits:

Aids digestion, warms the stomach, especially good when used after meals.

Rich in antioxidants, helps prevent aging and purify the body.

Reduce bad cholesterol, support cardiovascular and stable blood pressure.

Relax your mind and relieve stress with a gentle, peaceful scent.

4. The Taste of Time and the Experience of Tea Meditation

Drinking a cup of fermented Shan Tuyet tea is not simply a pleasure, but a journey back to pristine nature, a connection with ancestors through a thousand-year-old flavor. The tea is strong, but not harsh; sweet, but not sugary – like the spirit of meditation in every small sip.

5. A valuable indigenous culture

Fermented Shan Tuyet tea is also the result of indigenous knowledge passed down through many generations. Each batch of tea is the heart and soul of the Mong, Dao, Tay people… put into every step of making tea, every time of brewing and stirring, every time of drying in the sun or dew.
